Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiologic breast imaging procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination, reviewing clinical data on requisitions and performing appropriate examinations.
  • Obtain additional information about patient medical history as necessary and prepare procedure rooms, replenishing stock as needed.
  • Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform radiologic procedures, utilizing patient immobilization as required.
  • Control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information, adhering to principles of radiation protection and utilizing ALARA techniques.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography (ARRT M) or registry eligibility required.
  • Must maintain required hours of continued medical education and meet Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria.
