About the RoleThis is a full-time position, 36 hours per week, with benefits eligibility. The RN Float will support the Main Campus, Emergency Department, and 11th Floor Adult Inpatient Unit.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care through the utilization of the nursing process, including continuous assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and patient education.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of nursing practice.
- Work collaboratively with interns, residents, fellows, and attending physicians in the Emergency Department and Adult Inpatient Unit.
- Prioritize and manage the care of complex patients with solid critical thinking skills.
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing; baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in Massachusetts.
- 2 years of medical/surgical Nursing or ED or Inpatient experience.
- Related experience required for advanced clinical and specialty areas.
- Demonstrates leadership activities; able to work under stressful situations; and has exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
