Job Title: Critical Care Cardiovascular Surgical Nurse Specialist



Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Surgery ICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will have current registration in Massachusetts and a strong background in cardiac surgery ICU, VAD, and heart transplant experience. As a critical care cardiovascular surgical nurse specialist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and excellent outcomes.



Responsibilities


  • Provide critical care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Requirements


  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • Current cardiac surgery ICU, VAD, heart transplant experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended
  • Certification in a specialty area is encouraged
