Position Summary
The role of the Universal Banker is crucial in delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Sturm Financial Group's Mission, Vision, and Values. This position involves managing account openings, executing cash transactions, promoting and selling bank products and services, and addressing complex customer inquiries. You will be responsible for sales and service initiatives at designated branch locations while actively seeking new clientele through marketing and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute payment and receipt transactions while maintaining precise records.
  • Process check cashing within defined limits and guidelines.
  • Oversee daily cash reconciliations and transaction proofs.
  • Facilitate the opening of checking, savings, money market, and certificate of deposit accounts, including ordering checks and ATM/Debit cards.
  • Employ effective sales techniques to cultivate, develop, and finalize sales; generate interest in products; and actively cross-sell services.
  • Assess customer financial needs through direct interactions, referrals, and marketing initiatives, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of products and services, directing customers to suitable resources within the organization.
  • Profile customers to understand their complete financial service requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and referrals to enhance customer banking relationships.
  • Respond to customer needs, fostering strong relationships and taking appropriate actions to address their priorities.
  • Deliver service quality in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Adhere to compliance regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and internal policies.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 months of banking experience in teller or personal banker roles, or one year of cash handling or customer service experience.
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:30 PM
