Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Madison House to join our team at Senior Housing Options. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facility, ensuring a comfortable and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, including bathrooms, linens, and equipment, according to schedule and protocols.
  • Responsible for cleaning all common areas, including elevators, laundry room, and courtyard, using proper chemical dilution and cleaning procedures.
  • Perform terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred and when isolation is discontinued.
  • Collect and gather trash in courtyard, common areas, and offices.
  • Assist with dining setup, serving, and cleanup for meals and snacks, including washing dishes or cleaning the kitchen.
  • Communicate important information to incoming shifts and work together as a team to ensure the best quality resident care possible.
  • Respect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Observe and follow all safety protocols and fire and emergency plans.
  • Keep work areas and carts clean, organized, and orderly.
  • Engage in efficient use of equipment and resources to minimize costs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Two years prior work experience in janitorial, custodian, or housekeeping role preferred.
  • Prior working experience with an elderly and/or disabled population a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. comfortably.
  • Comfortable using and climbing on step stools.
  • Certain activities may require repetitive movements, including climbing, crawling, crouching, pulling, and pushing.
Work Environment

This role may be full-time or part-time, with shifts available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. May be called during off-hours to respond to emergency or unusual situations.

Salary: $15.75 an hour.
