Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist Position at Phelps Memorial Hospital

Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist
Northwell Health Physician Partners is recruiting for a highly motivated Practitioner who has outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position has the possibility of being converted to a leadership opportunity for a qualified candidate.
This is a unique opportunity to join the inpatient team at Phelps Hospital, a 22-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit which provides acute and around-the-clock care to patients 18 years old and older. Our care team is multidisciplinary, consisting of two psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers and occupational therapists. General medical care is provided to the patients by the Hospitalist service. In addition to the usual psychopharmacological therapies, Electroconvulsive Therapy is available at the hospital.
Phelps Memorial is a 238-bed community hospital situated on a scenic campus along the Hudson River in New York, just 40 minutes to NYC. We offer one of the broadest ranges of community hospital services in Westchester. Patients benefit from distinguished physicians, many of whom are pioneers in their field, offering the most advanced procedures using the latest technology. The hospital has an OMH-licensed 22-bed inpatient psychiatric unit as well as an OASAS-licensed 20-bed inpatient chemical dependence rehabilitation unit. There is an OMH-licensed outpatient Clinic as well as a Continuing Day Treatment Program. An OASAS-licensed outpatient chemical dependence unit which provides Day Rehabilitation as well as Clinic level services is co-located at the OMH Clinic site. The hospital also has a Care Management program which supports our patients.
