Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling operational aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll in accordance with our accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of journal entries, account analyses, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month-end close, reviewing and analyzing account balances.
  • Reviewing accounts payable for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reviewing bi-weekly payroll for accuracy.
  • Reviewing related AP and payroll reporting on a timely basis.
  • Assisting the Director of Accounting and auditors in annual financial and actuarial audits.
  • Maintaining an organized filing system and accounting office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience, including AP, AR, GL, and Payroll.
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheet software.
  • Knowledge of ADP payroll is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
