Position Summary:

As a Senior Information Security Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and certification of cryptographic systems. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the security and integrity of communication systems used by our clients. We are looking for individuals with a robust background in cryptography, particularly in design, development, and compliance with certification standards such as FIPS 140 and Risk Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and implement NSA and FIPS 140 standards for cryptographic products.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware design teams to meet certification requirements.
  • Create comprehensive design and testing documentation to support the validation process.
  • Lead efforts for NSA certification and FIPS 140 validation.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to communicate design and certification progress.
  • Adapt to evolving project needs, prioritize tasks effectively, and participate in collaborative decision-making.
  • Proactively seek clarification on complex concepts and designs.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of practical experience in cryptography design, implementation, or certification, or equivalent education in a cryptography-focused Master's program.
  • Possession of relevant certifications at the time of hire or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with communication systems, networking concepts, and security methodologies.
  • Understanding of security engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with RF communications and embedded systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of various security certifications and frameworks.
