Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in ICU or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing, or completion of a specialized fellowship program.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Demonstrate expertise by mentoring new healthcare professionals and/or nursing staff.
  • Ensure safety and quality at the point of care.

Critical Care Fellowship:

For experienced nurses transitioning to Critical Care, we provide a comprehensive four-phased orientation program based on AACN's Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO). This includes innovative simulation training, structured learning in a multi-system approach, an electronic orientation tracker, and knowledge assessments at each stage of orientation.

The program is designed to support critical care competency through novice to expert theory and adult learning styles.

Critical Care Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care in a technically advanced environment within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
  • Implement evidence-based care models aligned with AACN's Synergy Model and various specialty certification standards.
