As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional diagnostic PET/CT and Diagnostic CT imaging services. Your role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care while adhering to all regulatory standards set forth by governing bodies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality PET/CT imaging examinations.
  • Ensure accurate ordering of radioactive isotopes and doses on a daily basis.
  • Verify that the radionuclide dosage is correct and aligns with the prescribed procedures.
  • Administer radionuclides safely and effectively.
  • Monitor patient comfort throughout the imaging process, addressing any discomfort or medical issues promptly.
  • Provide compassionate guidance to patients, explaining procedures and addressing their inquiries.
  • Respond to the needs and questions of referring physicians regarding patient care.
  • Maintain current licensure and certifications.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that protected health information is securely managed.
  • Engage in departmental projects and meetings, completing additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications and Certifications
  • ARRT(N) certification or NMTCB certification.
  • California State License in nuclear medicine (including all scopes defined in Section 30533, plus venipuncture).
  • California Radiologic License.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • NMTCB PET certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Salary Range: $60-$75/hour

Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, and computer use. Occasional sitting for extended periods may be necessary, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
