Job Overview

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Summary:

The individual in this role is accountable for the thorough sanitation and upkeep of hotel guest accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all relevant Tribal, Federal, and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by attentively addressing guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure that the elite cart is adequately supplied with linens, cleaning materials, maintenance tools, and guest room necessities.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of guest rooms for any damages to flooring, walls, and furnishings, marking items for repair as necessary.
  • Open curtains and verify the need for repairs and cleaning.
  • Remove all linens and towels from guest rooms and bathrooms.
  • Empty waste receptacles and sanitize containers.
  • Replace and clean lampshades.
  • Test and report on the functionality of air conditioning units, televisions, remotes, telephones, refrigerators, coffee makers, microwaves, irons, and alarm clocks.
  • Rearrange furniture as needed to ensure thorough carpet cleaning, ensuring edges are free from dust.
  • Inspect and clean inside furniture drawers, addressing any scratches or damage.
  • Examine and clean closets, ensuring an adequate supply of hangers and laundry bags, and maintain mirrored closet doors.
  • Dust all areas of the room, including vents and blinds.
  • Clean all furniture, ensuring upholstery is free from stains.
  • Perform deep cleaning of bathrooms, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, and polishing fixtures.
  • Ensure guest rooms are free of odors and maintain a fresh, clean atmosphere.
  • Exemplify and promote the core values and skills of KLECH.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements and maintain accurate records as needed.
  • The responsibilities outlined above are representative of the duties associated with this position and may evolve based on organizational needs.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of sanitation protocols and the application of relevant cleaning agents.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping standards, particularly those concerning guest and property safety.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move continuously while cleaning.
  • Capability to lift or push heavy loads, up to 50 pounds, as required for transporting laundry.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous.

Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and other Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:

Employment Conditions:

  • Must obtain and maintain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary for commuting.
  • Compliance with KLEC policies and gaming regulations is mandatory.
  • Participation in tip reporting programs is required for tipped positions.
