Salary

The salary for this position ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on employment status, shift, facility location, licensure, and experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings, implement interventions for patients, and supervise patients during routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.). You will also plan activities programming and leisure activities, assist with scheduling and maintaining records pertaining to patient mental health, and set up and operate telepsychiatry appointments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases
  • Experience working in a correctional environment preferred
  • Must show current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work/Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field
  • Level 1 Psychiatric Technician Certification from the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians preferred, not required
  • Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness required
