Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Optician to join our team at Target Optical. As an Apprentice Optician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional guest service and driving profitable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive retail-selling environment that ensures premier guest service and guest retention.
  • Practice and role-play effective retail sales skills to drive profitable store sales.
  • Verify visual acuity and analyze and interpret prescriptions and lens design.
  • Select and measure frames for facial contour, eye size, bridge size, and temple length.
  • Fits and adjusts eyewear to the face and eyes, and dispenses contact lenses.
  • Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit and adapt lenses and frames within established guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Actively enrolled in a state-approved Optician Apprentice program.
  • 2+ years in retail or customer service position.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Independent and self-motivated.
  • Ability to grow sales through sales skills.
  • Enthusiastic and concise communication.
  • Attention to detail.
