Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the collection and distribution of food for the Food Rescue program. As a Food Rescue Route Driver, you will be the face of our organization, interacting with donors and agencies to ensure the efficient delivery of food to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate Food Rescue trucks to collect and deliver donated food to pantries and partner agencies.
  • Represent Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan to donors and agencies, building relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Food Rescue vehicles and refrigeration in clean, good running condition.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as established in the Goodwill Manual.
Requirements:
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License with a safe, clean driving record.
  • Chauffeur License or CDL.
  • Tier 1 Serve Safe Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with community donation sites and agencies.
  • Knowledge of maps of Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Kalkaska, Antrim, and Benzie counties.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment:

This position requires routine travel and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, evening, and weekend hours.
