Atrium Health is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Healthcare Registration Specialist to provide exceptional patient care and support in our Charlotte, PT location.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Registration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the registration process is accurate and timely for patients, while providing a high level of customer service and maintaining a clean and organized waiting area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare team members with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Verify patient information, including orders, diagnosis, and referring physician details, ensuring accuracy and legibility.
  • Perform point-of-service collections in a professional manner, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with patients, addressing their concerns and needs in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Ensure the waiting area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained, reflecting positively on the hospital's image.
  • Identify patients using two forms of identification and armbands, explaining the process to them and assisting with undressing needs if required.
  • Respond to emergencies in the department according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Contribute to meeting departmental goals, including point-of-service collections and registration accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, concentrating with frequent interruptions.
  • Physical stamina to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, and moderate lifting of patients.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
