Supervisor: Office Supervisor
Weekly Hours: 32 hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM; Wednesday Off)
Department: Nursing Services
Hiring Bonus: $1,000 after 90 days

Primary Responsibilities:
The primary function of the Clinic Registered Nurse is to provide exceptional nursing care to ensure patient comfort and well-being. This includes preparing equipment and assisting healthcare providers during examinations and treatments.

Key Duties:
1. Conduct patient assessments and prepare them for examinations or treatments, assisting providers as necessary during diagnostic and surgical procedures.
2. Triage incoming phone calls and walk-in patients, making assessments based on patient needs for appointments and advice.
3. Maintain effective communication with colleagues regarding patient care and follow-up needs.
4. Administer medications and document as prescribed by the healthcare provider, ensuring compliance with controlled substance policies.
5. Manage scheduling, referrals, and the organization of laboratory specimens, while maintaining cleanliness in the clinical environment.
6. Adhere to documentation guidelines using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and comply with HIPAA regulations.
7. Follow safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a safe working environment.
8. Participate in emergency response activities and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
9. Engage in continuous education and training, attending nursing meetings and participating in committees as needed.

Equipment Utilized:
Stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, computer, and other department-specific tools.

Qualifications:
1. RN graduate from an accredited nursing program.
2. Valid nursing license in Oregon.
3. Current BLS certification.

Preferred Skills:
1. Understanding of medical terminology and coding.
2. Knowledge of infection control practices.
3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
