PROGRAM DETAILS: The Physical Therapist Assistant program is designed to deliver innovative, career-oriented education to a varied student demographic. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exhibit exceptional teaching abilities and a commitment to integrating modern technologies into the educational process.
- Inspire, motivate, and empower students to achieve their academic goals.
- Maintain regular office hours for student advising, mentoring, and coaching.
- Develop and update course materials and instructional resources as needed.
- Manage course syllabi and student grades effectively.
- Supervise students in practical lab environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Physical Therapist (PT) license in Illinois.
- Familiarity with Brightspace Learning Management System or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in online teaching (e.g., via Zoom) and/or certification in online education is highly desirable.
- Engagement in scholarly activities, publications, committee involvement, and other relevant experiences will be considered favorably.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse student and staff population.
- Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student body is preferred, along with a commitment to the open-access mission of community colleges.
