Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Delaware, OH. In this school-based position, you will work with students to assess and address speech and language challenges, helping them to achieve their communication goals and succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services focused on improving articulation, fluency, language skills, and social communication.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals, and participate in IEP meetings to contribute to the development of educational goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current Ohio SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
