Job Summary

AA Health is seeking a highly skilled Opioid Misuse Prevention Specialist to oversee the implementation of the Opioid Misuse Prevention Program (OMPP) initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to prevent opioid misuse, including the implementation of the Academic Detailing strategy, naloxone trainings with prevention messaging, and the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive opioid misuse prevention strategy
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and pharmacists to promote prevention messaging
  • Design and deliver naloxone trainings and educational materials
  • Conduct needs assessments, capacity building, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of the OMPP initiative
  • Travel throughout Anne Arundel County to support program activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two years of experience in public health or a related field
  • Experience working with healthcare providers and pharmacists
  • Public speaking experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
