Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, or analyses to provide critical information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical laboratory tests, procedures, or analyses to provide accurate and timely results.
  • Provide clinical laboratory information by answering questions and requests, and interpreting test results.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and expediting orders.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, and perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in external proficiency testing and continuing education classes to maintain licensure and stay updated on changes in the clinical laboratory field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with course work sufficient to meet the requirements of the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) for certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Specialist, or HEW (MT).
  • Preferred experience: One year of experience working in an acute care facility as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
  • Required License/Certifications: MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), categorical or specialist (ASCP), MT (HEW), or MT (AMT).
