Dishwasher - Red Rooster Overtown

As a key member of our kitchen team, the Dishwasher will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen facilities. This includes washing and sanitizing all cookware, utensils, and equipment, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment and food required for functions are available to waiters at the appropriate time.
• Wash and clean all cookware from kitchen production in areas in accordance with our standards.
• Clean pots, pans, and all other cookware, ensuring they are completely cleaned and sanitized.
• Keep kitchen floor clean and wash area free of food residue or debris.
• Maintain knowledge of floor maintenance, equipment usage, and chemical safety.
• Knowledge of dumpster procedures and cardboard management.
• Responsible for waste removal and safe lifting practices associated with waste removal.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
• Responsible for the appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste.
• Keep work area neat and clean at all times, cleaning and maintaining equipment used in food preparation.

Qualifications:

• Previous back of house restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to produce high volumes of work while maintaining quality standards.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and respond to hazardous situations.
• Must be able to lift/carry items up to 40 lbs. and push/pull items up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
