Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Health Coordinator to join our team at the Seattle Housing Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety and health program that meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety and health procedures, including emergency response and first aid.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and health within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in occupational safety and health, with a focus on program management and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA and DOSH standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions to safety and health issues.
