Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the delivery of patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking and recording vital signs as needed.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, selecting and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
  • Administer injections, apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders.
  • Transport specimens and maintain patient files, records, and other information.
  • Provide phone screening of patients to clinical staff and physicians.
Requirements
  • Accredited Program Required: Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office, preferably in an OB GYN setting.
  • National Medical Assistant Certification, such as CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CMAC (NHA).
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, push/pull up to 45 pounds, and perform hands-on CPR. You will also need to be able to move around the area with frequent sitting and bending/stooping/squatting/reaching/kneeling.
