Job Title: EHS&S Site Manager

Sila Nanotechnologies is seeking an experienced EHS&S Site Manager to oversee all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and security at our Alameda facility.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing programs that meet the vision and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. This includes partnering with key stakeholders to understand occupational health and safety risks and integrating concepts that empower and sustain safe work across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and security at the Alameda facility.
  • Manage and implement programs that meet the vision and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Support air and water permitting activities and ensure compliance with local and federal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to department managers and employees on EHS&S matters.
  • Interface with our property management company to ensure Sila's operations and needs are aligned with site requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in EHS&S with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, listening, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of driving engagement across an organization related to safety and health.
  • Experience with industrial workplace hazards, corresponding programs, hazardous materials, and challenges with scaling processes and designing new tools.
Working Conditions

The EHS&S Site Manager will be required to pass a respirator fit test and wear respiratory protection on a daily basis. They will also be required to wear personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.

The regular shift is Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm. The starting base pay for this role is between $161,000 and $204,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
