Job Overview

Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to provide top-notch patient care and excellent customer service in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Take and record vital signs, medical history, and patient symptoms accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and treatments, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Collect lab specimens and perform basic lab tests, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Verify and update patient information in electronic medical records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms before and after patient visits, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Educate patients on medications, treatments, and self-care procedures, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • This position will require training in X-Ray, ensuring proficiency and competence in this area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and learning.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred, showcasing a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with electronic medical records preferred, highlighting technical expertise and adaptability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and patient care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing efficiency and productivity while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays when needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to patient care.
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor with patients and team members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
