Pharmacist II

The University of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist II to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and medication management services.
Under the general supervision of a senior pharmacist, you will be responsible for the provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients according to established standards. You will also serve as a preceptor to pharmacy residents and students, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their clinical skills.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will participate in Medical Center and Departmental committees, promoting institution-wide medication use policy and contributing to the development of best practices in pharmacy care.
As a self-starter with minimal direction and supervision, you will be accountable for your work and responsible for maintaining high standards of professionalism, credibility, and commitment to excellence. You will also be expected to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be able to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Depending on your level of experience, this position may be hired at the Stf Pharm1 or Stf Pharm2 level. If you have less than four years of experience, you will be considered for the Stf Pharm1 level, while four or more years of experience will qualify you for the Stf Pharm2 level.
