Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school-based setting in Michigan City, IN. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students referred for possible speech and language needs, presenting evaluation results and proposing IEP goals, and providing individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Present evaluation results and propose IEP goals at IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload
  • Provide reports of a student's progress to parents
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Indiana Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Indiana Department of Education clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid organization skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Indiana Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
  • Professionalism and accountability
