POSITION SUMMARY

The Recycling Materials Coordinator is tasked with the organization of materials including organic waste and general refuse within a recycling facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
  • Manually sort materials and allocate them to designated containers.
  • Empty sorted material containers as necessary.
  • Assist team members with heavy or cumbersome items as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings consistently.
  • Exhibit flexibility with work hours based on workload demands.
  • Complete assigned special projects.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations when managing hazardous materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS include:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to learn specific sorting and material handling procedures.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Work proficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable and self-driven.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • No formal educational requirements.
  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Basic reading and comprehension skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS include standing, hand usage, walking, reaching, balancing, stooping, lifting, and vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT is drug and alcohol-free. Employees may encounter moving parts, airborne particles, outdoor conditions, heights, and noise. Protective equipment is mandatory.
