We have an exciting opportunity to provide massage therapy for oncology patients in the NYU Clinical Cancer Center and associated sites.

In this role, the successful candidate will be providing massage therapy for oncology patients, supervising massage therapy staff and overseeing educational initiatives.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a schedule of licensed massage therapists, ensuring coverage for all shifts, documenting treatment notes in electronic medical records, educating patients on specific massage techniques used in oncology massage, and obtaining medical clearance from a physician or registered nurse before performing massage therapy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's Degree, a valid New York State license in massage therapy, three years of experience providing massage therapy in a clinical setting, and advanced training in one or more of the following topics/modalities: oncology massage, hospital-based massage, or manual lymphatic drainage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Oncology massage experience is highly preferred.
