Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Prevea Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with Radiologist protocols, ensuring patient care and safety. You will also perform basic laboratory functions, including phlebotomy and some basic lab testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general imaging, including specialty imaging such as Orthopedics
  • Position imaging equipment and adjust techniques as appropriate to patient body habitus
  • Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers
  • Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and PACs System
  • Complete all image processing procedures and QC testing, following Radiologist protocols to ensure images are of diagnostic quality
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations, ensuring the safety of patients and staff
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding, and address any questions or concerns
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology is required
  • 1-3 years of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred; clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience
  • Less than 1 year of phlebotomy and basic lab testing experience is preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
  • Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level
  • Possess skills to effectively problem solve
  • Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication
Licenses and Certifications
  • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification is required upon hire
  • Radiographer License issued by the state of WI is required upon hire
  • CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program is required upon hire
