Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with Radiologist protocols.
  • Follow established radiographic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
  • Perform basic laboratory functions, including phlebotomy and some basic lab testing.
  • Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and PACS System.
  • Complete all image processing procedures and QC testing. Follow Radiologist protocols to ensure images are of diagnostic quality.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding, and address any questions or concerns.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology is required.
  • 1-3 years of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
  • Less than 1 year of phlebotomy and basic lab testing experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
  • Possess skills to effectively problem-solve.
  • Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment.
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication.
Licenses and Certifications
  • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification is required upon hire.
  • Radiographer License issued by the state of WI is required upon hire.
  • CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program is required upon hire.
