As a Machinist Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining complex equipment and machinery. You will work with a variety of tools and machines, including lathes, drill presses, and grinders, to fabricate and repair parts. Your skills will be in high demand in a variety of industries, including the electrical product, automotive, and heavy machinery industries.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain complex equipment and machinery
- Fabricate and repair parts using various tools and machines
- Work with a variety of metals and materials
- Develop and implement safety procedures
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
