About This Role
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Patient Scheduling and Support Professional to join our team in the Behavioral Health department. As a member of our team, you will work closely with caregivers to deliver top-notch experiences and make a positive impact in the community. This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills to coordinate services, direct callers to appropriate scheduling areas, and provide special instructions. You will also determine appointment type and urgency, schedule accordingly, and communicate scheduling information to patients. Additionally, you will capture and verify referrals, cancellation reasons, insurance coverage, and physician data, process intranet appointment scheduling requests, and serve as a liaison for outside referring physicians and resolve scheduling issues between patients and providers.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating services, directing callers to appropriate scheduling areas, and providing special instructions.
  • Determining appointment type and urgency and scheduling accordingly.
  • Municating scheduling information, instructions, and directions to patients.
  • Capturing and verifying referrals and cancellation reasons, insurance coverage, and physician data.
  • Processing intranet appointment scheduling requests.
  • Serving as a liaison for outside referring physicians and resolving scheduling issues between patients and providers.
