About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join our team at Sodexo, a leading food service provider. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Wash dishes by hand or place them in a dishwashing machine, ensuring all dishes are sparkling clean and ready for use.
  • Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our customers and staff.
  • Remove trash and garbage to designated areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Polish silver, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
  • May wash pots, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.
  • Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training, ensuring our staff is knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest food safety protocols.
  • Comply with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner, ensuring our staff is safe and healthy.
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments, ensuring our staff is knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest safety protocols.
  • Willingness to be open to learning and growing, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Maturity of judgment and behavior, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance, ensuring our kitchen is clean and organized.

Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 2 years related experience.

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.

Physical Requirements
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Generally in an indoor setting; however, may supervise outside activities and events.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
