Job Summary
MaineHealth is seeking a skilled Credentialing Verification Specialist I to ensure the credentialing of providers aligns with organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify provider credentials in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform activities associated with verification functions, letter tracking, and follow-up on problems that may delay completion of the file.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless credentialing processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in credentialing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Current certification as a Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) from the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with the credentialing process preferred.
