Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Credentialing Verification Specialist I to join our team at MaineHealth.

Job Summary:

The Credentialing Verification Specialist I is responsible for ensuring that the credentialing of providers is conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

\t* Verify provider credentials and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
\t* Perform activities associated with verification functions, letter tracking, and follow-up on problems that may delay completion of the file
\t* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely credentialing
\t* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of provider credentials

Requirements:

\t* High school diploma or GED preferred
\t* Current certification as a Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) from the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred
\t* Knowledge of or experience with credentialing process preferred
