Job Title: Field Service Technician Dispatcher

Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for job control, changes, and scheduling for field-related repairs. Your primary focus will be on providing daily direction to technicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain written records of communication to ensure customers are aware of the scope of work to be performed.
  • Preorder parts and tooling as necessary.
  • Review problem work orders and initiate work order opening and assignment of estimates.
  • Update work orders as the scope of the job changes.
  • Follow up with technicians on the status of assigned work orders.
  • Provide communication to customers on schedules, warranty, and other relevant information.
  • Communicate with other cost centers for scheduling component repairs and machine scheduling.
  • Communicate new estimates to customers via fax or email when the scope of work changes.
  • Handle all incoming customer calls and inquiries related to field service work.
  • Provide input to the Field Service Manager for truck and tool purchases.
  • Assist in identifying and developing new market opportunities related to Wagner Equipment Co.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for resident field servicemen and initial contact for customers requiring field service repairs.
  • Add segments to jobs as the scope of the job changes and update job estimates accordingly.
  • Establish an internal priority system for field managers to pick up workflow.
  • Communicate to the service clerk information on problem jobs for resolution prior to invoicing.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a position requiring strong communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of administrative/clerical experience.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Some industry knowledge preferred.
