About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Clinic will assist the physician/provider by processing patients and preparing them for interaction. This role involves medication delivery, scheduling tests, answering inquiries, providing patient education, and performing other duties as requested by the physician/provider. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in the multidisciplinary care model and act as a communication liaison between patients and physicians/providers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and assist providers with examinations, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Assist in the delivery of services and patient care.
  • Responsible for obtaining medical histories, preparation and administration of injections, collection and preparation of specimens, and performing office laboratory procedures.
  • Schedule referral appointments and distribute patient educational information as directed by the provider.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary care model.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • License/Certification: RN in IL and IA, 2 years of nursing experience.
