Role Overview:

The Early Childhood Education Specialist is tasked with delivering enriching learning experiences for children aged 3 to 5 years, aimed at promoting school readiness. This role involves crafting and executing tailored lesson plans, fostering meaningful relationships with children and their families, and creating safe, engaging learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, document, and evaluate student progress
  • Analyze student performance data
  • Design and implement lesson plans tailored to student interests and developmental needs
  • Engage families in activities that support school readiness and enhance parenting skills
  • Conduct Family Conferences and Home Visits
  • Maintain clean, safe, and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning spaces
  • Prepare monthly reports and Family Newsletters
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, state regulations, and program performance standards
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development days, and agency-wide gatherings
Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate consistent attendance and the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

Education/Certification:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to meet insurance requirements.
Experience:
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Commitment to providing high-quality services to children and families in need.
  • Willingness to learn and implement new knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of child development and health and safety standards.
  • Ability to create effective lesson plans that foster development.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.
