Job Title: Test Systems Engineer II

This position is responsible for supporting and assisting with the development of test architecture, requirements, procedures, and associated designs for production test hardware and software for acceptance testing of SICK products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain test systems architecture for new product developments.
  • Set up and configure test systems, fixtures, and instrumentation as required by the test plans and testing standards.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of test systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering functions to improve product throughput and first-time yield performance.
  • Design and develop test fixtures and equipment as required.
  • Support new product introductions and ensure smooth transition to manufacturing.
  • Assist in the implementation, modification, and maintenance of test equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a testing environment and working in an electronics production environment.
  • Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude for production and product development.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to lead and direct the work of others.
  • Strong development/scripting skills in common languages like VB, C, C++,.NET, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.
