Position Overview

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Services team. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with a skilled team of professionals, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Audiologists, to provide comprehensive outpatient and community-based speech-language services.
  • Implement a client-centered approach utilizing social-emotional, neuro-developmental, and play-based methodologies.
  • Partner with staff to deliver specialized feeding and swallowing interventions for pediatric clients.
  • Prepare for the expansion of services with the upcoming Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
  • Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessing and treating clients across various age groups and diagnoses.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
