SSM Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Physical Therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our therapists in their daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient treatments, including conducting passive range of motion and monitoring active range of motion.
  • Set up patients for hot pack and cold pack treatments, and provide feedback to therapists on patient performance.
  • Perform charge audits and charge reconciliation, and communicate needed corrections to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify new therapy orders and patient discharges, and assign new patients to therapists.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment, and complete non-clinical and clerical tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of work experience.
  • No experience required, but a rehab student currently enrolled in an accredited school is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant standing, frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
  • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving patients.
