Process Coach - Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled Process Coach - Maintenance to join our team and contribute to the design, manufacturing, and sale of high-quality vehicles that meet the diverse needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of downtime issues to identify and implement corrective actions, preventing recurrence and improving overall performance.
  • Collaborate with ME/PE to launch new programs or equipment, optimize floor layouts, and develop standardized PM programs that drive efficiency and quality.
  • Execute prioritized daily maintenance activities, leveraging workforce utilization and optimizing available opportunities to maximize productivity.
  • Provide input to MPS for weekend and shutdown maintenance planning, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Utilize Maximo for Maintenance (MFM) to document all maintenance activities and provide quality assurance of MFM inputs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work any shift, rotating shifts, and weekends, with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes, ensuring accountability and quality.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills, with ability to resolve issues and improve relationships.
  • Successful candidate must demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills, driving collaboration and results.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years technical work experience and troubleshooting in a Manufacturing environment, with a strong foundation in mechanical systems and processes.
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls, with ability to apply principles to real-world scenarios.
  • Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience, with understanding of production processes and workflows.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, with ability to apply concepts to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles, with ability to identify and address bottlenecks.
  • Safety and Quality experience, with understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook), with ability to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force, with ability to navigate complex labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • CNC machining experience (PTO specific), with understanding of machine operations and maintenance.
  • Helium leak stand experience (PTO specific), with ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
