  • Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the educational setting.
  • Document Student Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student assessments, progress, and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Attend IEP meetings and other team meetings as needed to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments: Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and developments in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Clinical Competence: Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State Licensure: Possess a valid New Mexico state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Education Department Certification: Hold certification from the New Mexico Public Education Department as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Previous Experience: Preferably, have previous experience in a school setting.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • State Licensure: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
  • Professional Certification: Must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Educator Certification: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
