Additionally, Allocators are tasked with conducting thorough performance analyses and providing data-driven recommendations for enhancements.

The Allocator's primary objective is to maintain optimal inventory levels in both distribution centers and retail locations, effectively managing inventory turnover across various volume groups to maximize sales and profitability.

Collaboration with various teams is essential to address any inventory-related challenges in the fashion segment.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the fashion inventory allocation strategy for approximately 700 to 1,000 SKUs, contributing to significant annual sales.
  • Collaborate with Merchants to create and present a Merchandise Allocation Plan (MAP) for each seasonal item, ensuring alignment with the overall assortment vision.
  • Monitor in-season performance metrics and inventory turnover weekly, identifying causes of discrepancies and providing actionable recommendations to enhance sales and productivity.
  • Oversee the volume grading process, determining optimal timeframes and criteria for effective execution and planning.
  • Post-season, deliver detailed cluster analyses and assortment recommendations to Merchants and planning teams, driving improvements in sales and store productivity.
  • Work closely with the New Store Team to establish seasonal assortments for new locations, determining unit quantities and managing merchandise placement.
  • Control merchandise flow by implementing effective hold and flow strategies from distribution centers to retail locations.
  • Adhere to seasonal deployment calendars to optimize the timing of merchandise releases, enhancing in-store presentation and sales.
  • Ensure timely adjustments and releases of held fashion inventory from distribution centers.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects with significant organizational impact.
  • Participate in weekly business meetings, providing valuable insights and contributions.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of two years in retail operations or merchandise allocation is desirable.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, along with familiarity with merchandise management software is essential.


Additional Skills:

Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, capacity to meet tight deadlines, and effective communication skills are required.
