Physical Therapist Per Diem

This is a professional-level position involving the evaluation of patient disabilities, planning, and administration of physical therapy treatments. The incumbent will complete documentation, instruct patients, families, and students, and participate in clinical program development and management.
Responsibilities- Select and perform appropriate physical therapy evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Set treatment goals and devise a treatment plan. Re-evaluate and adjust the physical therapy treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
- Manage resources needed to perform physical therapy treatment plans to accomplish goals set for the patient.
- Complete physical therapy documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and complete department records for billing and statistics.
- Manage physical therapy caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
- Provide clinical supervision and teaching for physical therapy students or staff. Plan orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provide regular feedback and coaching. Evaluate the learner's performance.
- Plan and coordinate clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations, and reimbursement. Provide regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding physical therapy programs and patients served.
Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of North Carolina. BLS certification.
Professional Experience Requirements:
No prior experience required.
