The estimated annual salary for this role is $73,400 - $94,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Speech Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language services to students. Your responsibilities will include conducting evaluations and assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering speech and language therapy in both individual and group settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluation results
  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy to students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective student support
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
  • Attend meetings and provide reports on student progress

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Virginia State SLP License
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Prior school-based experience (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
