The Production Associate plays a vital role in the manufacturing process, focusing on secondary operations that include cleaning, washing, and simple machining of components. This position is essential for maintaining high-quality standards while ensuring efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities- Operate under the guidance of the department supervisor with minimal oversight.
- Conduct light secondary operations such as deburring, washing, and cleaning of parts.
- Perform tasks including drilling, cutting, tapping, and buffing.
- Utilize machinery while adhering to established processes and procedures.
- Transfer materials and components between locations, ensuring proper handling.
- Interpret blueprints and technical documents to execute tasks accurately.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards at all times.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Report any defective materials or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent training.
- Ability to handle small parts with reasonable dexterity.
- Familiarity with blueprints and measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 55 lbs as required.
- Willingness to stand or sit for extended periods, up to 10 hours daily.
- Good manual dexterity and visual acuity are essential.
- Exposure to industrial cleaning chemicals and oils may occur.
