Position Summary

As a Dispensary Retail Associate, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the complete workflow of our dispensary operations. By fostering strong team dynamics, all staff members are trained in various roles within retail, creating a versatile and adaptable workforce capable of responding to any situation. This collaborative approach enhances a team-oriented environment that transcends typical retail experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist both adult-use customers and medical patients with product selection, addressing any inquiries regarding strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, dosage, and consumption methods.
  • Provide personalized product recommendations for adult-use customers based on their purchasing behavior and preferences, and for medical patients, based on their order history and physician guidance to enhance brand satisfaction and achieve sales goals.
  • Resolve customer or patient complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, or escalate to a Manager on Duty when necessary.
  • Accurately process and dispense products to customers using point of sale (POS) systems and inventory tracking systems in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with retail leadership to ensure the product menu and website reflect accurate testing and pricing information, and report any discrepancies in sales audits.
  • Assist with inventory management, including cannabis product labeling, restocking, receiving, and dispatching shipments in accordance with state regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to state regulations and company policies, including verifying customer or patient eligibility for adult-use or medical cannabis products.
  • Process transactions accurately through the point of sale (POS) system and necessary state portals, maintaining cash handling accuracy and following all cash handling procedures.
  • Adapt to fluctuations in sales volume by engaging in continuous learning and maintaining cleanliness in the dispensary when not prioritizing customer or patient transactions.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on new products, promotions, programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies, while expanding your knowledge through cannabis education.
  • Contribute positively to a team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and management, and assisting with other departmental operations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the cannabis industry
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Open availability for scheduling
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check annually to comply with Cannabis Control Commission and company regulations
  • 1+ years of retail experience
Environmental Considerations

Employees may be required to perform various physical activities throughout the day, including bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and walking. Team members will also be exposed to company-approved chemicals for sanitation and production purposes, as well as cannabis and cannabis products while on-site.
