Job SummaryWe are in search of a Traveling/Resource Patient Food Services Manager to oversee our Patient Services Team within a large healthcare network, assisting with new business openings and covering staff vacancies.
Key Responsibilities:- Set objectives and supervise the execution of patient food service requirements based on medical guidance and patient demographics.
- Recruit, lead, mentor, train, and nurture patient service team members.
- Adhere to dietary restrictions for special or modified diets to ensure food preferences align with dietary orders.
- Ensure patient services personnel contribute to achieving established patient satisfaction targets.
- Comply with regulatory standards from federal, state, and accrediting bodies while maintaining confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights.
- Engage in and lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
- Associate degree with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in food service technology/management or a related discipline.
- Preferred certifications include Certified Dietary Manager, Registered Diet Technician, or Registered Dietitian.
- At least one (1) year of food service management experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
- ServSafe certification is desirable.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, and diet office systems.
